Where's the Deluxe Assortment Chart?
Some of our new friends out there in the world might wish that our Deluxe Assortment box came with a little chart, explaining which piece is which, but please embrace the truth that we will never, ever supply you with one. Here are five reasons why we will never send a chart:
Every piece of candy is hand-made, hand-dipped. This means that, try as we might to make our pieces uniform, no piece of candy is the same size. Are we embarrassed by this? Not really.
We put each piece of candy in a little paper cup. We think this makes the candy prettier, and when you take it out of the box, you can put it on your mother's plate if you like and it looks beautiful. Although it might be easier for shipping purposes, we don't send you candy in a preformed plaster enclosure. We think that's ugly.
If we're out of, for example, Coffee Creams on the day we pack your Deluxe Assortment, you might get Vanilla or Strawberry Creams instead. That's life at Flesor's Candy Kitchen. Right now there are basically two of us, Ann and Devon, making your candy. We're slowly trying to train others to help, but candy making isn't something kids learn at Tuscola High School. Most of the folks who know how to do what we do have gone "Home."
Again, about our packaging...Because we cup our candy and it's all different sizes, you may find a peanut butter pudding in the comer of one box but in the middle of another. Don't worry; it will be there-somewhere. Have fun looking for it, trying candy you will want to make a part of your life.
Cute coded charts cost money, money that would drive up the cost of our candy. Our packaging is nice; it's simple and tasteful. We're trying to keep our prices as low as possible, so you can afford to buy our candy again and again.
